Hey there! I'm TABITHA, the heart and soul behind TABITHA SMITH LOUISIANA DOULA SERVICES, your go-to gal for all things birth and postpartum.

As a kid, I was that little dreamer who wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse, i QUICKLY LEARNED THAT WAS NOT THE PATH I WAS MEANT TO FOLLOW! Fast forward a few years, and you'd find me glued to birth content like it was the latest Netflix series. It hit me – why not turn my passion for all things baby and birth into a career? So, here I am, a certified birth and postpartum doula, ready to rock your birthing journey!

As a mom of four (yes, you heard that right!), I've been on the rollercoaster of labor and motherhood, and let me tell you, it's been a wild ride. Those personal experiences have fueled my decision to chase my dreams and support you on your unique journey. While doulas possess a wealth of knowledge regarding pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood, they are not qualified to give medical advice or provide any medical procedures. The scope of a doula's practice centers around advocacy, comfort measures, and education, ensuring that their clients are informed and empowered to make their own healthcare decisions. Doulas work collaboratively with healthcare providers to create a supportive environment for the birthing person, but the responsibility of medical care and advice lies solely with the healthcare professionals.
